Rainer Quitzow has published a new article in Research Policy entitled “Assessing policy strategies for the promotion of environmental technologies: A review of India's National Solar Mission“.
Dr. Julius Rauber was honored for his Dissertation by the German Insitute of Standardization (DIN e.V.), on November the 6th. More Information.

Blind and Pohlmann publish LES Article of the Month. Just today, the Licensing Executives Society International (LES International) announced to publish Knut Blind’s and Tim Pohlmann’s article on trends for standard essential patents as the article of the month. Read more.
"Berlin is becoming more innovative", that is the main finding of the Innovation-Monitoring Berlin report, published today by the Technologiestiftung Berlin. The report is based on the results of the Berlin Innovation Panel 2013. Read more.

2013 Patent Statistics for Decision Makers Conference in Rio de Janeiro
The 2013 conference “Patent Statistics for Decision Makers” in Rio de Janeiro Brazil was a fantastic opportunity for researchers and policy makers to share their knowledge about intellectual property (IP) and to address the IP world of tomorrow. Read more.
At the international Symposium on "Effects of Standardization on Global Economy", Prof. Knut Blind contributed with a lecture on "The Economic Effects of Standardization on the Global Economy". The Symposium took place on 25.11.2013 in Istanbul and was opened by Mr. Nihat Ergün, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology. It was presented under the auspices of the president of the Republic of Turkey.

Standards education essential for the western world to stay competitive compared with Asia. This was a statement at a panel on standards education at the 8th international IEEE-SIIT conference which took place 24-26 September 2013 in Sophia Antipolis, France. Read more.

Standardization in practise at the Daimler Standardization Meeting 2013
Apart from science the researchers at the Chair of Innovation Economics are also concerned with current practise of standardization. This is why Prof. Dr. Knut Blind and his PhD students Luisa Lazina (Volkswagen AG), Ellen Filipovic (Daimler AG), Agnes Ploschka (BoschRexroth AG) and Anne-Marie Großmann (TU Berlin) were taking part in the third Daimler Company Standardization Meeting in Sindelfingen. Paris calling – Patent researchers meet at EPIP 2013
This year’s EPIP (European Policy for Intellectual Property) Conference took place in Paris from September 4th,2013 until September 6th, 2013. The Technical University Berlin was represented by four researchers, namely Professor Knut Blind, Sören Petersen, Jakob Marquard and Julius Rauber. Read more.
