Due to the current situation with the COVID-19 pandemic, lectures of the chair of innovation economics for the winter semester will take place as online lectures.

To be able to provide interactive lectures and adequate remote guidance throughout the course, available seats will be limited.

The Chair of Innovation Economics at the Institute for Technology and Management in the Faculty of Economics and Management was initially established in 2006 with the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research (ISI) in Karlsruhe. Between 2010 and 2019, Professor Dr. Knut Blind changed to the Fraunhofer Institute for Open Communication Systems (FOKUS). Since October 2019, he changed back to the Fraunhofer Institute for Systems and Innovation Research and is responsible for the business unit  Innovation and Regulation.

 

 

Mission Statement

Our mission is to foster responsible innovation research towards the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals. We perform excellent and independent research, which is disseminated within the global scientific community, among policy makers, business representatives and civil society. Our inter- and transdisciplinary team contributes to the knowledge base and education in the field of innovation studies, management and policy. Our chair is an open platform connecting international researchers, students and practitioners.
