Digital Innovations are continuously evolving and affecting organizations, industries, and civil society. The basic premise of the course is that Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) drive innovation and are rapidly transforming not only the way how we live and work but also how companies are organized and innovate, as well as the fundamental structure and business models of a wide range of sectors.This opens new perspectives, opportunities but also challenges. Therefore entrepreneurs, managers, and policymakers need to understand the policy, ethical, and business implications, changing technology paradigms, changing markets, and methodological innovation practices in the digital era. This course aims to provide a deeper understanding of key concepts of digital innovation and reflect on them critically from a wide array of perspectives (regulatory, ethical, entrepreneurial, corporate perspective). Moreover, the curriculum leads through the rapidly developing research field of Digital Innovation and participants will be involved in Science Communication of highly relevant topics in the field of digital innovation. Furthermore, students will learn how to conceive and contribute to digital innovation and be equipped with methodological knowledge and tools.
